Am I allowed to trade news?

You may trade during news events only in the Standard Challenge

For the Ace and Rapid Challenges, trading during news is strictly prohibited

  • No opening or closing of trades is allowed 2 minutes before until 2 minutes after a high-impact news release. 
  • You may hold positions opened more than 2 minutes before the restricted window. 
  • Any violation in the Ace or Rapid Challenge will result in your account being breached and closed immediately

Only high-impact (red) news events are restricted. Low and medium-impact events may be traded freely.

Regardless of challenge type, you must not attempt to exploit high-impact news. All trades are monitored closely. 

Example: 
If Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) is scheduled for 8:30 AM (UTC), traders in the Ace or Rapid Challenge must not open or close trades on USD pairs or US indices between 8:28 AM and 8:32 AM. Positions opened earlier than 8:28 AM may remain open during the news.
